There is variety of benefits to a paid teaching position including the fact that it pays comparatively well. These include free furnished accommodations, significant partial or full reimbursement of airfare, some ad hoc free Chinese language classes and also the opportunity to immerse yourself in the life, culture and language of this fascinating country.

HIGH RENUMERATION

Generally, monthly salaries for a paid teaching position range from 3000 to 4500 RMB. In addition, you will receive at least a significant partial or sometimes even full reimbursement on your airfare. The exact amount will vary depending on the length of your contract and the specific school.

FREE ACCOMMODATION

All foreign teacher accommodations are regularly inspected by the relevant government authorities to ensure that they are clean and comfortable. Generally, you will be provided with an independent apartment that is fully furnished with bed, desk, chair, TV, hot water, air-conditioning, heater, and a private bathroom, access of Internet.

LANGUAGE CLASSES

Participants are not required to have any knowledge of the Chinese language. However, free classes in ‘Survival Mandarin' are held regularly and are taught by qualified and experienced teachers. You will be taught practical Chinese including phrases and words commonly used in daily life. Textbooks are supplied at no additional cost in most institutions. Some institutions will request that you to bring your own teaching materials such as newspapers, video, CD, brochures, etc for reference.

EXCURSIONS & SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Free guided tours are held on weekends and holidays for you by most institutions to discover local major historical and cultural attractions, You have chance to take part in many tours and sightseeing activities. These tours and activities provide opportunities for you to deepen your knowledge of China's rich historical and cultural heritage. 

CULTURAL SEMINARS

Foreign teachers in some institutions enjoy privileges to learn about Chinese art and culture through a series of introductory workshops on Chinese Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Massage and Medicine, Chinese Painting, Chinese Songs or Kongfu (ancient Chinese martial art).

FREE ORIENTATION

Orientation will be held on matters such as campus and facilities, banking, health, transport, mail service, and food after you arrive. Please remember that the school/college foreign affairs staff and LHCEC professionals are more than happy to assist you during your stay.

MEDICAL TREATMENT

For your safety and health, most schools provide you with free campus medical treatment like the Chinese teachers.

SUPPORT STAFF

Each school or college has foreign affairs staff with years of experience. When necessary, they provide support with residence information, teaching arrangements, safety advice and other logistics. LHCEC is always ready to assist you if requested.
